This project was done for my capstone project. I did all the modeling, lighting, and rendering in Maya (Arnold). I did texture work in Substance Designer and Substance Painter. Composites were done in Photoshop.
The model aims to bring curiosity to the environment through the details of the scene, the mysteries of astrology, and the unseen astrologer that lives there. The scene is inspired by Victorian furniture and modern architecture. The large telescope is based on the Mary Mitchell telescope. This was my first attempt at creating an entire scene rather than just props, I definitely learned a lot about lighting and rendering throughout this process.
